Here’s a list of the prestigious AIOH Professional Development Awards available to members:
This award is tailored for young hygienists under 40 years of age, who are working full-time as occupational hygienists and are financial full or provisional members of AIOH.
The award comprises travel to the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) Conference in the UK, as well as Draeger's Research & Development facility in Germany. The recipient will also visit other industry and government institutions in the UK or Europe, providing an enriching international experience.
Targeting early-career occupational hygienists, this award provides an exceptional professional development opportunity through attendance at the American Industrial Hygiene Conference and Exposition (AIHCE).
Additionally, the recipient will be invited to travel post-AIHCE to SKC Inc. in Pennsylvania and visit other industry and government institutions in the USA or Canada. Applicants must be working full-time as occupational hygienists and be financial full or provisional members of AIOH.
 Active Environmental Solutions Post-Graduate Scholarship
This scholarship is designed to support members of AIOH in advancing their academic credentials. It offers generous funding for postgraduate study in occupational hygiene at an AIOH-accredited institution or an Australian university where the course primarily focuses on occupational hygiene.
The scholarship aims to enhance the academic standing of AIOH members by providing financial assistance for further education in this critical field.
The Eurofins Innovation Award provides an opportunity for an AIOH member to develop, promote, or implement innovative practices in occupational hygiene that will benefit worker health and safety.
This award is open to Fellow, Full, or Provisional AIOH members in good standing. The award recipient will represent AIOH in presenting their innovation at an approved location (within Australia or overseas), showcasing advancements that improve occupational hygiene practices and worker health.
This award, sponsored by Industrial Scientific Australia Pty Ltd, is designed to facilitate the attendance of a deserving AIOH member at the annual AIOH Conference. It offers an all-inclusive package for the recipient to participate in one of the most important events in the occupational hygiene calendar.
The 3M Best Paper Award is presented to the author of the best occupational hygiene paper submitted for the annual AIOH conference. The winning paper is selected by the Awards and Sponsorship Committee, recognizing research excellence and contribution to the field of occupational hygiene.
The Best AIOH Conference Electronic Poster Award is given to the electronic poster judged by the Awards Committee to be the best submission for the AIOH Annual Conference. Sponsored by AMCOSH Pty Ltd, this award recognizes creativity and clarity in presenting occupational hygiene topics.
