May Webinar – Innovations for dust controls used in mining (above ground) and construction
This webinar is about processing crystalline silica containing substances generates a respirable fraction that is a health hazard. Industries such as construction and mining have made progress in their understanding of this hazard and how to decrease the related health risks. Progress has also been made in the layers of the hierarchy of controls. In addition, more in-situ and laboratory test data are now available to us, helping us make better decisions when implementing controls. This webinar will highlight changes in elimination, substitution and engineering control strategies that will help work health and safety management decision making, but also demonstrate potential productivity improvements.
