Advancing Air Monitoring: Real-Time Insights, Innovations, and Lessons Learned

Aeroqual will present the benefits of live reading instruments as well as highlight the learning from key projects from the US and Canada.

•           Insights: best practices, potential risks, and complexity associated with air monitoring on industrial perimeter and inside the working zones

•           Foresights: live demos of innovative air monitoring technologies that simplify compliance with current and future regulations

•           Hindsights: share the lessons of planning and value of actionable data insights for stakeholders and why approaches may change

EP Risk will highlight a major project from Sydney and by utilising the AQM-65 how it helped improve safety for the worker. Two (2) instruments were used both with the following parameters:

1.         Carbon Monoxide (CO);

2.         Carbon Dioxide (CO2);

3.         Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S);

4.         Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2);

5.         Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx);

6.         Total Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) via Photoionisation Detector (PID);

7.         Particulate Matter – 1 micron (PM1);

8.         Particulate Matter – 2.5 micron (PM2.5);

9.         Particulate Matter – 10 micron (PM10);

10.       Particulate Matter – Total Suspended Particulates (TSP) (µg/m3);

11.       Relative Humidity (RH %);

12.       Temperature (°C);

•           Real time alarms (minute intervals) via email and/or text.

•           Online workstation setup with one screen per AQM-65, displaying easy to read graphs.

•           Machines were robust and quite mobile (via placement in an acetylene cylinder cage)

•           The instruments performed their own regular self-checks and back flushes.
