Preparing for Australia’s new respiratory protection standards – Standards Australia
Australia has adopted and will transition to a suite of 30 international standards for respiratory protective equipment, replacing the long-standing AS/NZS 1715:2009, Selection, use and maintenance of respiratory protective equipment and AS/NZS 1716:2012, Respiratory protective devices. These changes are designed to better align with international best practice and focus on user performance needs.
This online event seeks to provide industry professionals, regulators, certification bodies, and manufacturers with essential information on what this transition means, the transition timeline, and how these new standards will impact workplaces across Australia.
Date: Wednesday, 26th March
Time: 1:00pm – 2:00pm AEDT
Led by Mark Reggers and Dr Jane Whitelaw, members of Standards Australia’s Occupational Respiratory Protection Committee, the webinar will break down the key differences between the new and replaced standards, what businesses need to do to prepare, and how this change will shape the future of respiratory protection in Australia. A live audience Q&A will follow the discussion.
Register now to stay informed and ahead of the transition. Once registered, you'll receive an email with the login details in the week of the event.
A recording of the webinar will be sent to all registered attendees after the event.
