“Future Empowered”: Implementation of the Workers Compensation Legislative Framework and the intersect with Occupational Risk Management
This session aims to introduce participants to WorkCover WA and provide an update on the implementation of the workers compensation and injury management legislation. Participants will better understand how Western Australia performs compared to other jurisdictions and will explore current trends.
In presenting a snapshot of trends for occupational injuries and presumptive diseases relating to noise, dust diseases and occupational dermatitis and asthmas, attendees are encouraged to return to their workplaces with a broadened injury prevention mindset and greater understanding of our current injury burden.
The speaker for this session will be Mr Chris White, Chief Executive Officer, WorkCover WA.
Chris White was appointed Chief Executive Officer in November 2019. Chris has more than 40 years’ experience in workers’ compensation and occupational safety and health policy in Western Australia. He has held senior policy and management roles at both WorkCover WA and WorkSafe WA
