AIOH Joins a South Australian, Australian-first initiative making accessing specialist support to make workplaces safe easier than ever before

Hosted by SafeWork SA, the new Sourcing and engaging WHS professionals webpage launched yesterday explains the roles of occupational hygienists, ergonomists, and generalists, and links to local, qualified and certified experts.

AIOH has joined with Australian Institute of Health and Safety (AIHS) and the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society of Australia (HFESA) in the first collaboration of its type between SafeWork SA and national peak professional associations.

SafeWork SA Executive Director Glenn Farrell said: “Collaboration is key to making positive impacts on health and safety and I’m delighted to host this new, user-friendly, resource, which is the first of its type in Australia. It has never been easier for businesses to identify and contact certified professionals who can help them tackle current and emerging WHS issues.”

Located on the SafeWork SA website, the information and contacts are national.

AIOH and AIHS member Prof Dino Pisaniello has been instrumental in working with the professional associations and SWSA to get the project off the ground.
