The emphasis within public buildings Is shifting from energy efficiency and comfort to include prevention of infection and health.  How can we as occupational hygienists assist in managing this process?  Factors  pertaining to infection risk are reviewed. VA Sciences COVID Calculator permits building owners/operators to manage the process of allocating particular rooms based on community transmission levels of COVID-19, known transmission factors, and building and room characteristics.
